Building Colombia's agricultural infrastructure.
Colombian farms produce exceptional coffee, citrus, cacao, and tropical fruit — yet the supply is fragmented and hard for global buyers to reach. Alecava is building the digital and physical infrastructure that connects Colombian cultivators directly with domestic and international markets.
A fragmented supply, waiting to be organized.
Agriculture in Colombia is highly fragmented. Thousands of cultivators produce exceptional coffee, citrus, tropical fruits, cacao, and other products — yet buyers struggle to locate reliable suppliers, verify production capacity, ensure traceability, and secure consistent supply.
Alecava was created to solve that problem — by organizing Colombian agriculture into one connected ecosystem, and by transforming raw agricultural products into innovative, export-ready goods. Two platforms, one integrated company: AgroMapa organizes the data; Alecava transforms the product.
One company, two connected platforms.
AgroMapa
A digital platform that organizes Colombian agriculture into one centralized, searchable ecosystem. Cultivators register a farm ("finca") by dropping a pin on a map — automatically recording its GPS location and altitude — then add crop varieties, plant counts, crop age, production capacity, certifications, and contact details. Farmers can register multiple farms and crops.
The result is something that doesn't exist today: a searchable, verified inventory of agricultural production across Colombia. Buyers can find qualified producers by region, altitude, variety, production volume, and certification — whether sourcing specialty coffee grown at 1,900 meters or Tahiti limes from Huila.
- GPS & altitude-verified farm registry
- Crop varieties, capacity & certifications
- Buyer search by region, altitude & volume
- Traceability from farm to facility
Alecava
Alecava serves as the commercial intermediary between global buyers and Colombian cultivators — negotiating contracts, coordinating purchasing, managing logistics, and overseeing quality and consistency. A dedicated team documents each product's movement from farm to facility, ensuring transparency and compliance with export requirements.
The second phase is our prototype processing facility: a lean, modular factory producing samples and small commercial runs. Rather than investing millions before demand is validated, we produce samples first, develop products to customer specifications, and expand capacity only once purchase orders are secured.
- Contract negotiation & commercial management
- Logistics, quality & consistency
- Traceability & export certification
- Modular prototype manufacturing
Demand determines investment — not speculation.
A capital-efficient approach: organize the supply, prove the market, then scale physical capacity with confidence and significantly lower risk.

Turning Colombian agriculture into products the world wants.
Alecava's product development draws on a track record of bringing food innovations from concept to national retail.
A revolutionary single-serve coffee.
Following eight months of research and development with SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje), Alecava developed a concentrated coffee extract for a single-serve Coffee Spoon™. It mixes instantly in hot or cold water, simplifies preparation, and reduces disposable accessories.
The platform supports more than 100 product variations — built for the way people actually drink coffee on the move.
The world's first single-serve Honey Spoon™.
Invented by Alecava's founder and commercialized through ICI Foods, the Honey Spoon™ was recognized by Food & Beverage Magazine as one of the Most Innovative Products of 2024.
It is now distributed through major U.S. retailers — proof of a repeatable path from invention to national shelves that Alecava now brings to Colombian agriculture.
Led by a proven manufacturing innovator.
